Significant emergency medicine with additional primary health care skills will be highly regarded. Procedural qualifications in Anaesthetics and/or Obstetrics and/or surgical experience are desirable.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Medical Practitioner to join our Medical Services.
Key duties:
- Rostered shift work in the Emergency Department at the Esperance Hospital, including nights and weekends.
- Shift work is shared with local GPs and the hospital SMP.
- Provides professional support, development and mentorship to clinical staff as required – this includes nursing staff, RMO’s and junior GP registrars.
- Provides teaching to students from the Rural Medical School during their rostered shifts in ED.
- Participates in the Medical Advisory Committee
Provides support to and works collaboratively with the hospital SMP to improve ED services within the hospital.

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive medical and community health services to the Gascoyne Region, based either in the Carnarvon or Exmouth Hospital and serving their associated remote communities.
The DMO is likely to encounter a broad range of clinical presentations which can be both uniquely challenging and rewarding both to an aspiring and an experienced Rural Generalist. DMO contributes to comprehensive patient care in the Emergency Department and General Ward.

WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is seeking District Medical Officers - Procedural Anaesthetics to be placed in a Pool for the Midwest Region.

Position Profile:
The District Medical Officer (DMO) Anaesthetist is responsible for providing elective and emergency Anaesthesia in the Carnarvon Regional Hospital. In this role you will have a JCCA (or equivalent) Credentialing.
The position gives opportunity to provide General Anaesthesia and Sedation for the visiting Surgeon and Gynaecologist, as well as contributing to the 24-hour on-call Anaesthetics service. DMO-Anaesthetists’ support the Obstetrics services, which includes provision of Epidural and Intrathecal anaesthesia.
The DMO-Anaesthetist also contributes to delivery of comprehensive patient care within the Emergency Department and the General Ward, as well as community in certain health services located in remote communities.

Position Profile: An exciting opportunity is available for Senior Doctors in Emergency Medicine to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team of clinicians providing comprehensive Emergency Medicine services to the patients of Geraldton Health Campus.
Our ED is a busy regional department seeing around 40,000 presentations a year. We have a broad case mix including a significant number of high acuity and trauma presentations as well as receiving interhospital transfers from throughout the Midwest Region.
In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of direct patient care; coordination of patient transfers and retrievals; promoting the provision of high-quality care and patient safety within the ED; and supervising a small number of junior doctors.
We have an active SMO education program and can support candidates undertaking the ACEM Emergency Medicine Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs. Opportunities also exist for a range of clinical-support portfolios.
Experience in Emergency Medicine and/or critical care roles is required.
