Occupational Therapist

  • Currently we have an exciting new position for a motivated tertiary qualified Occupational Therapist to work as part of our transdisciplinary team providing disability services across Bunbury/Eaton and the South west community. Starting dates negotiable for the right applicant.

We are an innovative Allied Health organisation providing therapy supports across the lifespan under NDIS and a growing team with deep roots in the Bunbury community. Our Senior Staff members have over 20 years of experience each in the disability sector and are looking for the next generation to mentor and support to ensure the continuation of quality Disability Services within the South West.

    As part of this role the Occupational Therapist works as part of a transdisciplinary team to deliver high quality, accountable, allied health intervention services to families within the South west. This involves working to identify needs, developing solutions to meet these needs, providing direct intervention as needed and build each families capacity to advocate for themselves and access local children services and other community resources. You will be supported by our team of 2 Physiotherapists, 7 Occupational Therapists and 3 Speech Pathologists.
Experience & Skills
  • APHRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current disability theory and practice, including cross cultural perspectives and knowledge of disabilities and practical strategies to facilitate independence and development
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with families, other professionals and the community
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to liaise with people at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a trans-disciplinary team and plan and organise workload and determine priorities accordingly
  • Current WA Working with Children's Check, Drivers Licence and National Police Clearance
