Practice Nurse

About the Role
  • Seeking a Registered Nurse to work on a part time basis at Nannup Medical Centre in the South West. We are looking to add to our team a nurse who is passionate about community nursing and thrives on their connection with our patients. Our practice is open from Thursday to Sunday with flexible work hours.

    The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilisation, general maintenance and care of medical instruments and equipment and assist GP’s with procedures and basic investigations including ECG & Spirometry. In addition they wil take responsibility for the triage of patients, chronic disease management and identifying patient educational needs. They will also perform ear syringing, immunisations and management of vaccines.
Experience & Skills
  • Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Immunisation competency or willingness to obtain
  • Previous experience working in a general practice(desirable)
  • Previous experience with medical software Best Practice(desirable)
  • Australian work rights

  • Reliable and self motivated with the initiative to work independently
  • Friendly, approachable and respectful to patients and coworkers
