General Practitioner

DPA/DWS location - Northampton practice is looking for a GP to start immediately. Practice can supply a house in Northampton. Geraldton is a 40-minute commute to the Northampton Surgery. Practice open days, hours and on call can be negotiated. The current doctor works 4 days and because he chooses to reside in Geraldton, he does on call during surgery hours. Northampton has a diverse but loyal patient basis with a wide scope of medicine to practice. The practice has a wonderful team of nurses and reception staff who run the surgery like a well-oiled machine. Northampton is a beautiful historic town with a warm and inviting community.

The Practice Private, solo practice. A small practice servicing a diverse population ranging from antenatal shared care to aged care. Services we provide include women's health, pathology, small procedures, telehealth specialist consults and visiting psychology, physiotherapy and optician services. The population of Northampton is made up of retirees, farmers, fishermen, and government employees. The town is only 40 km from the city of Geraldton.

The Package
  • Remuneration: 60% of surgery billings 65% hospital billings. Average GP salary is $201,000 - $250,000.
  • Accommodation: A four bedroom house in Northampton will be provided rent free other than utility costs.
  • Leave: 4 weeks unpaid leave
