This Rural Health West CPD workshop, facilitated by a team of emergency medicine specialists, has been designed to assist health professionals is the assessment and management of the aggressive patient.
The workshop content includes:
• Psychiatric assessment and care
• Differential diagnosis of mental health, drug-induced and medical issues
• Sedation and post-sedation care
• Appropriate disposition of patients who display aggressive behaviour and those with mental health disorders, including the implications and summary of the new Mental Health Act.
all medical practitioners are welcome to register with priority given to currently practising Western Australian general practitioners and emergency department health professionals within the region.
$150 (incl GST)
This workshop is accredited with RACGP and ACRRM for continuing professional development points and is approved for the Rural Procedural Grants Program. Please contact your relevant college before attending training if you wish to apply for the grant.
As courses are largely oversubscribed, upon receipt of a course place offer and invoice from WA Country Health Service, payment is required within 7 days to secure your place.
Should payment not be received within this time frame the course place will be offered to another candidate.
Applicants who give notice of cancellation 30 days prior will receive a full refund.
Applicants who fail to attend or withdraw from the course within 30 days will not be eligible for a refund.
