Rural Health West, in partnership with WA Country Health Central Emergency Medicine Education and Training (EMET), is pleased to invite regional medical practitioners and emergency department professionals to the Rural and Remote Emergency Medicine Skills Workshop.
The course will cover:
• High fidelity simulation sessions
• Skills workshops
• Surgical skills in critical care
• Interactive case discussions on paediatric and adult critical care scenarios including trauma and sepsis; management of severe traumatic brain injury in the remote setting; and management of the agitated patient
This workshop is facilitated by a team of emergency medicine specialists supporting Western Australian medical practitioners to expand their remote emergency skills and knowledge.
All medical practitioners, emergency department doctors, emergency department doctors and nurses. Priority is given to those working in the local region.
Day One: 7.45am-6.00pm
Day Two: 8.00am-4.30pm
This workshop is accredited with RACGP and ACRRM for continuing professional development points and is approved for the Rural Procedural Grants Program. Please contact your relevant college before attending training if you wish to apply for the grant.
Workshop Terms and Conditions
Registration Fee $300. As courses are largely oversubscribed, upon receipt of a course place offer and invoice from WA Country Health Service, payment is required within 7 Days to secure your place. Should payment not be received within this time frame the course place will be offered to another candidate
Applicants who give notice of cancellation 30 days prior will receive a full refund.
Applicants who fail to attend or withdraw from the course within 30 days will not be eligible for a refund
