The Shire of Trayning has an excellent opportunity for a solo GP or two part-time GPs to manage and operate the Kununoppin Medical Centre.
With room to develop and expand services offered to the local community, such as skin checks and minor surgery, this could be the ideal opportunity for a pro-active practitioner.
About the role and general practice
The Kununoppin and Districts Hospital incorporates aged care and emergency department services, providing an opportunity for the right applicant to provide services at the hospital and outlying nursing posts through an additional agreement with WA Country Health Service (WACHS).
About the community
Kununoppin is a small Wheatbelt town with salmon gum lined streets, surrounded by wheat and cropping farms. With the local hospital and medical centre both based there, Kununoppin is the medical hub for the Shire of Trayning and local districts.
The Shire of Trayning will negotiate an independent contract arrangement based on percentage of billings (average salary $250,000 – 300,000) or guaranteed salary of $180,000 if preferred. The package includes access to a 4 bedroom house and vehicle.
Kununoppin is a Distribution Priority Area location (DPA) and eligible to apply for PIP and WIP payments. The individual GP may also be eligible for WACHS incentives depending on meeting the associated eligibility criteria.
