We have developed a resource to assist rural health professionals find mental health support services in Western Australia, as we are committed to creating a safe and positive environment for all rural health professionals and their families.
It is reported that doctors working in rural Western Australia may be burdened with a heavy workload and concerns about whether their family have access to social, cultural and educational opportunities. This may lead to high stress levels and eventual burnout, in turn impacting the local community.
Health and Wellbeing, an information resource for health professionals and their families living in rural communities of Western Australia, provides access to personal, clinical and professional support services including counselling, guidance and conflict resolution.
