Rural Health West offers opportunities for health students from Western Australian universities to observe clinical health practice with registered health practitioners in rural Western Australia.  The Student Vocational Experience program provides placements in rural settings for up to two weeks, where students undertake clinical observation and visit local health services to increase exposure, knowledge and understanding of rural communities and rural health.

Students participating in the Rural Health West Student Vocational Experience program must be members of a Western Australian NRHSN Student Rural Health Club (membership is free).

Occupational Therapy Student Vocational Experience

Rural Health West and WA Country Health Service – Pilbara are offering two second or third year occupational therapy students the opportunity to participate in a fully-funded, four day observational vocational experience in Karratha.
