Outreach Services

Outreach in the Outback programs focus on a multidisciplinary approach to health care, with visits ranging from one day to a few weeks, with varying frequencies throughout the year.

Rural Health West is the jurisdictional fundholder in Western Australia for Rural Health Outreach Fund, Medical Outreach Indigenous Chronic Disease Program, and Healthy Ears - Better Hearing, Better Listening. These programs are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, and operate in over fifty locations in urban, rural and remote Western Australia, ranging from Kalumburu to Albany and as far east as Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Each program offers a more flexible funding stream in the provision of outreach services in Western Australia.
