International Medical Graduates


 

Rural Health West offers a comprehensive case management approach to the recruitment of International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

Our experienced staff and associates can guide the candidate and the recruiting practice through the steps of skills and location ’matching’, clinical interview, pathways to Medical Board registration, immigration requirements and, once on the ground, provide a clinical and cultural orientation.

Subsidies are often available for accommodation and living costs during the orientation period as well as grants to offset the costs of the Medical Board Pre-employment Structured Clinical Interview.

If you received your primary medical training in an overseas country and do not have unconditional registration in Australia, Rural Health West can help you through the application and assessment processes, and provide you with a comprehensive orientation.

If you decide to stay long-term in rural Western Australia, Rural Health West can also assist you to join the
Five Year Overseas Trained Doctors Recruitment Scheme (Five Year OTD Scheme).
