Remote Area Employment Incentive Grants
Rural Health West makes these Remote Area Employment Incentive grants available to assist remote communities in attracting and retaining GPs. Rural Health West identifies eligible communities, taking into account practice isolation, financial need and single-doctor practices or isolated two-doctor practices.
GPs residing and practising in communities with a high Indigenous health workload are eligible for these grants. This will be reviewed over the next 12 months. Eligible communities include: Jigalong (Puntukurnu AMS); Wiluna (Ngangganwili ACCH Medical Service); Warburton (Ngaanyatjarra Health Service); Halls Creek (Yuri Yungi Medical Service); Norseman; Mount Magnet.
