Families

Rural Health West’s Family Support Program aims to support General Practitioners, their spouse/partner and children to assist with enjoying rural life.

The Family Support Program offers:

·                Initial contact and information for medical families relocating to rural areas, through an Orientation Program;

·                Family programs for spouses/partners and children at Rural Health West Perth-based conferences held 3 times per year. For more information visit the conferences page.

·                Return airfares to Perth for spouses/partners when accompanying their General Practitioner spouse/partner to a Perth-based Rural Health West Conference; and

·                Five training bursaries valued to $2000 are awarded each year to enhance employment and career opportunities for all medical spouses/partners living in rural remote areas of Western Australia.

If the Family Support Program can be of any assistance at all, please contact either the Family Support Project Officer or Manager, Retention Services via email or by phone on (08) 6389 4500.
