Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition

Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 March 2012

Driving Change in Chronic Care

The Rural Health West Annual Conference and Trade Exhibition attracted over 140 practitioners from rural and remote Western Australia.

Rural general practitioners heard from Keynote speaker Dr Edward Brown, of the Ontario Telemedicine Network, one of the largest and most active integrated telemedicine networks in the world. Given that the Ontario Telemedicine Network delivers approximately 17,000 telemedicine sessions per year, delegates were inspired by the potential application in their rural practices.

Keynote conference spnosor NEHTA also provided an Australian perspective with a keynote address by Dr Peter Rischbieth from South Australia.

A highlight of the conference was the Sunset Cocktail Reception held at the Bell Tower, where the attendees had the opportunity to ring the famous Swan Bells, and sample delicious food and wine whilst enjoying the views of the city and the river.

Delegates are reminded that reimbursements forms must be submitted by COB 6 April- a form can be downloaded below.

Presenations made at the conference are available to download below.

Rural Health West thanks our key conference partner NEHTA, Dr Edward Brown and all our speakers and workshop presenters for joining us for this conference.
