In this broadcast:

- Haematologist Dr David Joske discusses how to manage neutropaenic patients presenting with fever or infection.
- The Bone Marrow Transplant team (Royal Perth Hospital) discuss the G.P.'s role in pre and post operative care for bone marrow transplant patients.
The aim of this Rural Doctors Broadcast is to provide GPs with information on:
- The use of prophylactic vaccinations;
- Immunoglobulin replacement therapy;
- Management of HIV infections and their complications; and
- Assessment of patients with an abnormal susceptibility to infections.
This broadcast has been allocated two CPD points by The RACGP and one CPD point by ACRRM. CPD points are not guaranteed and are subject to review by both agencies.
