In this broadcast Dr Jenny Deague (Cardiologist), Dr Ian Dey (Emergency Physician) and Dr Olga Ward discuss red flags for potential cardiac causes of chest pain, musculoskeletal causes of chest pain, as well as aortic dissection, pulmonary embolism and other things not to miss.

The Royal Perth Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Program explain the support services they are able to provide rural cardiac patients. This segment is provided with thanks to Clinical Nurse Specialist, Narelle Wilson and the team at Royal Perth Hospital.

The aim of this Rural Doctors Broadcast is to provide general practitioners with information on:

  • The initial investigation and management of patients presenting with chest pain
  • Resources and programs for cardiac rehabilitation
  • Diagnosis and management protocols relating to chest pain

This broadcast has been allocated two CPD points by The RACGP and one CPD point by ACRRM. CPD points are not guaranteed and are subject to review by both agencies.
