About the Role
Currently seeking to appoint an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team. The OT will assist in meeting the needs of the residents' varying care needs. The residential facility is situated in the Great Southern town of Katanning 280km south of Perth.
OT services will be delivered in a manner consistent with the core values and guiding principles of the employer. The overall aim is to enhance or maintain the quality of life for the residents.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
? Assess clients to determine Occupational Therapy needs
? Ability to relate to aged persons with empathy whilst working effectively with other health professionals and service providers
? Development, implementation, review and evaluation of care plans
? Support the maintenance or restoration of clients’ independence
? Establish and maintain effective communication with clients and other care staff
? Maintain records, information and complete documentation in a timely manner
Experience & Skills
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:
? Bachelor of Applied Science Occupational Therapy
? Current registration with the Occupational Therapists’ Registration Board of Australia
? Previous experience in equipment prescription
? Previous experience working in an aged care setting working with the frail elderly
? Previous experience supervising staff

There are over 70 doctors working across 24 practices throughout the region. Nine of these are solo practitioner practices.
