Rural Health West provides a Family Program to support spouses and children of rural doctors who attend our Perth-based conferences.
If you are a medical or health practitioner attending one of Rural Health West's Perth-based conferences, you can bring your family with you. We provide entertainment for children and an engaging program for partners during the conference, and a networking opportunity in the evening for you to meet fellow rural families.
Rural Health West supports families of rural doctors who attend our metropolitan conferences by providing a Family Program consisting of various activities for children and spouses while the conference is being held.
In the past, children have attended day trips to Rottnest Island, the aquarium, the cinema, cooking classes and art workshops. Spouses have been offered the opportunity to attend a high tea or go shopping in some of Perth’s biggest shopping centres. One of the most important aspects of the Family Program is the Networking Sundowner, held on the evening of the conference, where rural families can meet and mingle.
Rural Health West also offers travel support for currently practising doctors who work and live in rural and remote Western Australia and their spouses/partners.
